ELYSIA Schedules Co-Headlining Tour With THE WARRIORS

Newest member to the Ferret Music roster ELYSIA will embark on a co-headlining tour with THE WARRIORS, with support from THE GHOST INSIDE and STRAY FROM THE PATH.

Commented ELYSIA vocalist Zak Vargas, "We have heard from a ton of bands and friends that they think we'd all be really compatible. We really like THE WARRIORS and STRAY FROM THE PATH, and have toured with THE GHOST INSIDE before and had a great time."

Having just finished up recording a new album (due out this summer) with Kurt Ballou (CONVERGE) at Godcity Studios in Salem, MA, ELYSIA is ready to get its music out to the general public. "We really like how the record turned out and we really believe in these songs, so we're looking forward to getting it out there," said Zak. "It's a much darker album, sort of socially conscious from a depressive state, because when we were recording I was physically sick from all kinds of anxiety. This is actually always what I wanted to do, to have really emotional songs that are very intense to play live. The sound of the album is very offbeat and weird compared to what is going on in the scene right now, still very heavy but we played around with a lot of with the instruments, and we even threw a tambourine in the mix."

Sacramento-based ELYSIA is made up of Zak, Garrett Girardi (guitar),John Mao (bass),Chris Cain (guitar) and Steven Sessler (drums). The group self-released its debut, "Masochist", in 2006.
